Arial Beel is a depression located between the Padma River and the Dhaleswari River and is part of Munshiganj district. It is the largest and oldest beel in the central region of the country. Most of the area of Arial Beel remains wet during the dry season and the beel holds a considerable amount of water. Although it is flooded during the monsoon, it turns into a vast crop field during the winter.
